Carine was amazing as a virtual speaker. She was eager and willing to answer any & all questions my students had. I admire how open and vulnerable she has chosen to be about such a hard experience. My only wish was that we had more time with her. If you are at all considering having her talk to your students, I highly recommend it. Also, if you haven’t yet started weaving in her book “The Wild Truth” with Krakauer’s “Into the Wild”, do it! I cannot believe how much more insight was provided in Carine’s book. It’s truly eye opening and gives a much more clear picture of who Chris was, what his childhood was like, and why he did what he did.
